Women Getting Equal Pay With Men

It is bad that women get sexually harassed in the workplace.

I have often had as my patients such victims. Sometimes I start them from zero. I sound like I am barking some sort of feminist manifesto.

I send them to the county Bar Association to find a lawyer. I try to “rev” them up; to inspire them and motivate them to fight for their rights.

Rarely are they filled enough with justified anger to go home and make the requisite phone calls to get help.

It is far too late — many years and many traumatic events too late…to seek retribution for the wrongs done to me in studyplaces and workplaces. Fear of retribution kept my mouth closed for a very long time.

Now women are getting raises, mostly, it seems, by asking for parity with men. Here is what I know about it.
