“Like Horses With Blinders”

0

We are like horses with blinders on.

We see that a compound does one thing, and rarely think of it as capable of doing another.

For example, Arginine vasopressin is also known as Antidiuretic hormone. So we have associated clinically with various states of water intoxication.

New research concludes that this class of compounds is associated with social behavior.

Could it be a marker and maybe a treatment for autism?

Why hasn’t anybody thought of this before?

The same way someone who has lost his keys looks under the streetlight.

Systems in the human body are webs. They aren’t linear.

Many illnesses are attributed to one cause, but any other cause can come along and make it worse.

When we understand non-linear ways of thinking, then we will start to understand the complexity of the human body.
