Estelle, I want to turn you on to a very important bit of medical info- the Omega 3/ CB1 connection. Considering that the average American diet is very low in Omega 3, this affects everyone who is using cannabis for healing! Please read-
Nutritional omega-3 deficiency abolishes endocannabinoid-mediated neuronal functions.
(abst – 2011) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21278728
Other recent studies at PubMed are confirming this endocannabinoid system connection. The “uncoupled” CB1s are “duds”- unable to affect mood, or healing! If you would like to learn more about this, drop me an email!

Estelle,
Finally i have come across someone that is researching the realities of Medical Marijuana. I am a young woman that is struggling with a few medical issues. Mainly uncontrollable nausea, vomiting and cramping that could bring a grown man to his knees (other symptoms are present but thought to be unrelated). I have been medicating myself for almost 4 years with medication such as Advil, Gravol, Tylenol, and Asprin. Slowly they are becoming less effective. I am tired of upping the quantity in fear that now they are contributing to the problem instead of remedying it. I have done extensive research and am willing to say, tested my theory with results i couldn’t have imagined. I would appreciate it greatly if you could contact me with any ideas on how to get me started on a path to becoming (for lack of better words) legit. Only for the reason that now it is effecting my life beyond comfort.
Regards,

Although I am no longer practicing as a medical marijuana doctor (because of the absolute chaos between federal and state laws) I am very much still interested in ALL methods of healing (alternative and traditional). I cannot give medical advice to you, but I want to let you know that I have put the finishing touches on my new book “Medical Marijuana — The Right Way” and will announce in this blog (and elsewhere) when it is available to the public. I understand you are suffering and you have my sympathy. Perhaps medical marijuana is the answer and perhaps not. A good, un-biased doctor should be able to give you more guidance, buing by a thorough medical workup, complete medical history and whatever tests are necessary. You have my sincere wishes for good health.

Mari Perez told me that we have a lot in common. Besides losing over 125 pounds and possibly both being Jewish, we work with brains, and it appears, have quirky senses of humor.
I live in San Diego. I think this could be the beginning of a great friendship.
Blessings,
DrSarah
