Basil Oil
There was a saying in Northern France which roughly translates:
“Everything old is new again.
Holy basil oil, from the plant “Occinum basilicum” is good for killing little beasties. The sort you don’t particularly want around. Bacteria and fungi and such.
There are suggestions it helps with fatigue and depression and such.
It is an ancient staple of ayurvedic (Indian) medicine. It is a good enough antimicrobial that it has been traditionally used as a mouthwash.
Like many important oils, it is strong enough to burn skin. If you want to use it for muscle cramps or headaches, you need to cut it 50% with coconut oil or some other “vehicle” oil.
The ancient secrets become hot new news for a public that has diminished the importance of doctors in favor of those few with good online public relations.
But the best by far, if you actually want scientific content, is some kind of a genius-amateur. I know several alternative physicians who follow this guy.
The self-hacker does not push his popularity. I have checked his sources.
The way to use information is to apply it.
There are plenty of researchers out there, but not many “synthesizers” like me.
Not long ago, the Chinese woman physician director of the world health organization said in less than two years, antibiotics would be useless. A human being would be able to die from a scrape on the knee.
Infections I would have treated with a single antibiotic early in my surgical training would now be treated with three or so.
Basil oil and similar substances are unlikely to create antibiotic resistances in the genetic material of the microbes they are supposed to kill.
This is not a Public Relations sensitive group of people who want to outsmart doctors with natural treatments.
This is something different.
We may have a handle on solving some very current problems that are affecting the lives of humans.
Adversely.
Stay tuned.
