What Changed When I Wasn’t Looking

If you think I bare my soul in this blog, then you would be surprised at how much further I can take – “to the next level” as they like to say – in my private, opt-in newsletter.

I don’t just reprint blog posts in the newsletter – or vice versa.  I jump right in to the deep end.

I haven’t produced a newsletter recently – although in some promotional things on my various web page I have called it “weekly” (that’s stretching it).  But I have a new one coming out tomorrow.

If you don’t subscribe to it, you can opt-in from the link in the upper-right-hand corner of this page.  It is non-commercial, no spam allowed, and of course, I don’t share my mailing list with anyone.  There is always an opt-out link at the bottom of each newsletter.

The newsletter is where I can say anything I really want to say without worry of the usual internet concerns.  It is sent directly to your email box, it is not indexed by search engines, and I stand accountable for each and every word in it.

I also get much more personal.

My latest is a biographical piece that brings back many of my concerns and reasons for writing.   That is why I gave it the title you see printed above.

I describe my “manifesto” that I wrote at a relatively young age, setting out my goals and desires for my path in life.

Kind of like the Una bomber, but much more constructive.

Anyway, if you want to be on my mailing list, you can click the link and sign up today – and judge the newsletter tomorrow.  You can also read issues from the past couple of years.

I have always been a creature of passion, wanting to save human suffering I have known about in ways I could figure.

One person said I reminded him of the Russian author Tolstoy.  Well – maybe.  My immediate forbears were Russian immigrants.  But I don’t think this acquaintance really knew Tolstoy – or me – very well.

You be the judge.  You can learn about my manifesto and what I set out to do with my life and career.

The manifesto has not changed – even after all of these years.

I live my life as I see fit, and I don’t always find acceptance.  In fact, I seldom get people to listen to me.  At times, they come around and find out maybe – just “maybe” – I know what I’m talking about.

I didn’t set out to become a guru, but I have cultivated some followers over the years.  I affectionately call them (you) my Tribe.

I’m glad I have my Tribe – they keep me motivated to keep doing things.

If you want to keep up with my newsletter, now is the best time to sign on and see what I come up with tomorrow.

If not – I will maintain regular postings on this blog and you can satisfy your curiosity whenever you please.

Meanwhile – I’m going to be busy seeing patients and writing.

Take care and be happy!

Still, I look at positions with more latitude and more power than I have had in the past.

I sincerely thank those who choose to read me by subscribing – opting-in — and maybe even think about what I say.  I consider you a special Tribe – and I am honored to be a part of your Tribe.

Thank you.
